This game is made solo in 96 hours for the GMTK Game Jam 2024! The theme is "Built to Scale"

Eat your enemies, conquer the galaxy!

Hungry Starship is A 2D Top-Down Space Shooter where you can pick up fallen enemy ship parts and use them to grow your ship! Simply press E to enter the Edit Mode to freely add/replace new ship modules to improve your battleship.

Scalability is king

Size is not the only thing that matters! You need to make sure that your ship scales well! Each ship module you add comes with different properties that will affect your ship stats: Agility, Weight, Power, Weapon Cooldown, and Repair Rate.

Controls

• E - Open Edit Mode

Flight Controls

• W - Accelerate
• Left Shift - Boost
• Hold RMB - Orbit Around Mouse

Edit Mode Controls

• Click on any ship part to modify it
• Use the Green Arrow buttons to add in the selected modules.
• Space - Replace module 
• R - Rotate module

Title Screen Cheat Keys

• H - Hide Highscore UIs
• T - Hide Title Screen
• S - Random Skybox
